Gepps Cross High School workshops

October 28, 2004 Carl Kuddell

Gepps Cross Girls High School workshops 2004 October - Adelaide SA

CHALLENGE: The Hero Project developed their unique training methodology during a 6 week program with 20 Middle School students at Gepps Cross Girls High School.

OUTCOMES: The Hero Team were introduced to the hectic pace of incorporating media into class lessons. A big thank you to Michael Darley and the girls involved.

The students learnt basic team work, storytelling, camera and sound recording skills. One of the highlights was the compositing work using a green screen for interviews. Each student pitched her film idea to camera and the group.

IMPACT AND FEEDBACK: The teaching methodology we designed formed the proof of concept to develop the Hero Project to the next level, including multiple awards and a national outreach program.
