Karoonda Area School workshop

April 28, 2005 Carl Kuddell
A fabulous discussion starter about underage drinking: The award-winning ‘9 Steps to Become a Successful Underage Drinker’ is a comedic take on ‘how-to’ videos and drug education with a high impact end that will have your students talking for days. Goose bumps guaranteed! Using humour and a satirical reversal this film drives a serious punch and comes with an urgently needed resource pack to support teachers and youth workers to tackle the issues of underage drinking.

Karoonda Area School workshop 1 - 2005 April - Karoonda SA

The Hero Project worked with 30 students at the Karoonda Area School, to introduce digital media and develop storytelling techniques.

The team, who had never made a film before, decided to tell a story about their school – the challenge was to make short films in-edit-camera – no going back, no editing, everything has to run as filmed…
