Power & privilege: exclude / include

This gang believe they have the mandate to include and exclude people and values from our shared culture. They create 'harmonizing' and 'unifying' activities that reinforce cultural 'norms'.

Disrupt: How do you define identity and belonging?

Reframe: How can we all be ourselves?

Propmaker: I support diversity, promote equality and create unity. I cast authentic representation, to reflect the wonderful diversity in our society at large, and don't agree that my push for unity results in assimilation, or that equality, the right to belong in the norm, can whitewash equity and liberation.

Analyst: Big data is where it's at, we don't want your stories, just how you participate. I believe we can data harvest the universe and use this information to craft analytical narratives that will help marginalized groups to fit in.

Gatekeeper: I facilitate access, manage resources and protect cultural integrity. This is an important role, and I will block access, control resources and exclude people to safeguard our precious cultures.

Entertainer: I put on spectacles, create hits and adapt authentic stories. We all need a little distraction from life's problems, and I'm happy to dumb it down to appeal to the masses. I create stories worth listening to, so of course I might need to change details to catch their attention.

Positivist: I keep it that way - positive, happy and harmonic. What’s not to like? Never mind the censoring, the negating of emotions, or the disallowing of tensions. Positive minds attract - why can’t we all just get along?
