Enforcers

Power & privilege: control / protect

This gang enforce the 'rules' of the status quo and patrol our common ground, our shared humanity. They often believe their force is justified and believe they have the social authority to protect and control the shared space. They can bring physical, stand-over tactics to their violence.

Disrupt: How do you share?

Reframe: How can we collectively care for our Commons?

Veteran: I train resilience. My toughness is honed from years of experience on the front lines. I do what needs to be done, and will dismiss, humiliate and brutalise, to harden people up for the battles to come.

Guarantor: I guarantee success, assess risks and plan for contingencies. I prohibit risky behaviours through compliance and constrict possible worst case scenarios. I am prepared for the worst.

Vigilante: I set boundaries, reward compliance and manage trouble makers. I patrol, deputise and isolate, using my monopoly of violence to sanction.

Hustler: I produce, enable and do whatever it takes to succeed. I extract goodness, coerce and hustle my way past any limits. I re-enchant the myth that the best stories come from the hardest places and I know how to commodify them.

Orderly: I monitor situations and as I am always on call I can immediately provide comfort. A band-aid and hand-me-down couch is often all that's needed to quell dissent and conversations of equity.
